In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Knowing and doing the will of God starts with understanding creation itself. After creating the necessary conditions on the earth, God creates the plant and animal kingdom and finally he creates humans. Humans were created at the end when conditions were ready for them. The most important factor is God decided to stamp his image on Humans only.
After all the conditions are right he tells the man to work in the garden. The will of God He is to be the first farmer. Remember even before sin began, work was part of God’s created universe. Work is not part of the curse but blessing. The suffering and toil was part of the curse, not the work itself. God wanted to teach that we have to work and not just be lazy, if we are to be productive and fulfill purposes.
Eat and not eat
God also gives the first man all things to enjoy freely, plants and fruits of every kind and taste. God tells to abstain only from eating the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden. It is important to know this if you are ever going to learn what is knowing and doing the will of God process. There are always things you do and not do, in all that we do. If you are making coffee then you should brew coffee seeds, not poison leaves. Do not put poison leaves in coffee making is the rule.
The other purpose of creation was to be fruitful. He gave this being fruitful ability to all his creation, from plant life, animal kingdom to human race. God delights in fruitfulness. This is not just multiplication. It comes later. Knowing and doing the will of God means understating why God does certain things. Here we see that he teaches fulfillment of purposes through fruitfulness. Fruit is the reward for labor as well as proof of efforts.
Multiplication is the ability of fruitfulness. Fruits contain in themselves the ability to propagate. Seeds are the future generation for these fruits. The fruit in itself is capable of producing more fruit. Each fruit contains enough seeds to multiply itself into hundreds, thousand and millions.
Knowing and Doing the will of God will teach you that God has supernatural purpose beyond human mind can grasp in everything he does. He does not do anything for the sake of it. There is design, purpose, plan and infinite wisdom with God. We can only grasp a little bit of it at a time. It is like sand on the beach and stars in the sky, you simply cannot count them. All he does is simply beautiful and marvelous.
